Our Story
Rooted in Cameroon.
Delivered to your door.
Why Cenoma exists, and the people it exists for.
Cenoma began with a simple observation: the world has never tasted, worn, or held most of what Cameroon makes — and Cameroonian makers have never had a direct road to the people who would love their work.
Cameroon is often called “Africa in miniature” — rainforest and savanna, mountain and coast, more than 250 communities each with their own craft traditions. In the hills of Bafoussam, baskets are woven the way they were twelve generations ago. On the slopes of Mount Cameroon, coffee grows in rich volcanic soil. In courtyards in Douala, cloth is dyed by hand at sunrise.
But talent is not the same as access. Most makers sell only as far as the nearest market town. Middlemen take the margin, and the story — the most valuable part — gets lost along the way.
Cenoma changes the route. We partner directly with verified makers across Cameroon, bring their goods to our warehouse in Silver Spring, Maryland, and deliver them across the United States — fast, reliably, and with the maker’s story attached to every order.
Every package arrives with a story card and a QR code, so you can meet the person whose hands made what you’re holding. That connection is the whole point. We’re not importing products. We’re introducing people.
“Every product starts from the same place — the soil, the craft, the people of Cameroon.”

A note from the founder
“I grew up watching hands turn grass, clay, and cocoa into things the world never got to see. Cenoma is my answer to that.”
Stéphane Mambout is an innovator with an unusually eclectic path — and one constant: people. Known for spotting the problems others live with silently, he builds his answers on relationships first, systems second. Cenoma grew out of that instinct: countless conversations with Cameroonian makers whose craft could stand on any shelf in the world, but whose reach ended at the nearest market town. He built the road they were missing — and made sure their names, faces, and stories travel with every package.
— Stephane Mambou, Founder, Cenoma
